Having ordered during lockdown I was delighted to receive delivery so quickly and once dispatched, received next day. The quality of the Tulipwood is first class and accurately cut out. Given the time involved in this process and delivery costs, good value too. Very helpful company, it’s a shame (for me) they are not based in Scotland, it would be on my list of places to visit.
Timber Packs from THE ROCKING HORSE SHOP - Tulipwood
All timber in our Timber Packs is kiln dried to approx 10-12% moisture content & though we inspect each piece for quality and carefully select out defects, some hairline cracks or faults may develop or have been over-looked, though these are usually negligible. Please note that we cannot guarantee uniform colour since it is not practicable for us to select for colour. Tulipwood often has a greenish tinge when fresh cut & sometimes this can be quite noticeable. Occasionally vivid green or purple streaks are encountered. This natural colouring can greatly enhance a project which is to be varnish or stained. Please note however that the colouring is not fast and will fade to brown after a while. Variations in colour can be evened out if desired during staining & the colour will in any case become uniform as the timber naturally darkens over a period of time.
This timber pack is usually kept in stock ready for immediate delivery.
